Scripture: Luke 14:25-33 A note from Paula: Oh boy. This passage is a doozy. There are plenty of Jesus quotes that bring peace and comfort, maybe some reassurance in difficult times. And then there's this line from Sunday's passage: "Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple."
