We’ve created detailed instructions to help you set up your new giving account and turn off the existing recurring donations in your old Vanco account. You can download instructions here. We’ll also have a printed version of the instructions at Peace downtown Sunday mornings, starting December 31.

About our New Giving Portal
We’re excited to announce our new Giving Portal, which is managed by Stripe, a widely-used online payment processor that completes credit card and ACH (automatic bank account) transactions. Through this portal, you can set up a one-time or recurring gift, using either your credit card or bank account. Transactions occur within Stripe, not our website, and are at the highest security level (PCI compliant). There are a number of advantages to Stripe - one of them being that we will enjoy lower processing fees, which means that more of the dollars you give will go to work for Peace, and the causes that we support.

Yes - all transactions are conducted under the highest security level (PCI compliant). The portal will actually take you to a secure Stripe website, where you will set up an account and sign in. None of your transaction information is stored within our website, or with anyone at Peace Church.

Yes! You can set up your donation to recur weekly, bi-weekly or monthly

YES! More of your gift will go to support Peace and the causes we support if you move your gift over to the new portal!
If you give:
• $100 through the NEW portal via an ACH bank account transaction, Peace gets to keep $99.75 !
• $100 through the OLD portal via ACH bank account transaction, Peace gets to keep $98.55
• $100 through the NEW portal via Credit Card, Peace gets to keep $97.80
• $100 through the OLD portal via credit card, Peace gets to keep $96.71

YES - you will be charged by both companies for your recurring gift if you do not go in to the old portal and cancel the existing one you have set up there. If you do not have a recurring gift set up in the old portal, no action is required.

The new portal allows Peace to keep and use more of the donation you give - so if you have an existing recurring donation in place, we’d encourage you to move that to the new portal. Spoiler alert - setting up a recurring ACH transaction in the NEW PORTAL allows the greatest amount to go to Peace! Here are the numbers:

YES! Our new system allows you to sign up for text giving. Go to the new portal and set up an account with a user name and password. You will see prompts for setting up text donations.

Benefiting Micah Ministry and Welcome Refugee Corp
About Welcome Corp
Our offering will allow Peace Church members to help refugees through the Department of State’s Welcome Corp. The Welcome Corp matches refugees to sponsor groups who can help new refugees secure housing, assist with children’s enrollment, provide support in acclimating to the US, and help adults find employment. The sponsor group must fundraise $2,375 per sponsored refugee, which can be a combination of funds and donated goods or housing. Your donation will allow us to help the US accept more refugees at this time of turmoil in the world.
About Micah Ministry
Micah Ministry is centered around a ministry of home-cooked meals in which faith-based and civic volunteers partner and seek to help our food vulnerable neighbors. From 5:30pm - 7:00pm every Monday, Micah offers a hot “to-go” meal, hygiene products, clothing, additional food items, a free medical clinic from Care Beyond the Boulevard, and items to support our house-less neighbors such as blankets, sleeping bags, and tents.
To illustrate what your donated dollars in the Christmas offering will buy, here is the Wish List for Micah Ministry:

Help within the Peace Family
We know of some individuals/families really stretched right now with challenges… getting kids back to school, dealing with sick family/work stress. If you have some extra space in your heart or on your kitchen counter to offer a meal or help with errands, please let us know.
And/or if you need a little tender care at this time (help with a meal or errands), please let Pastor Holly or Pastor Paula know. We are family that care and support each other in whatever manner we can.
