Sharing Happiness – Part 75

My favorite podcast, “Pop Culture Happy Hour” ends their show with each member saying what made them happy the previous week. The rule is that it must be something anyone could enjoy if they chose (i.e., books, movies, twitter feeds, albums).

JB: I finally tried Tay’s Cheesesteaks in North Kansas City.  They use locally sourced meats, including grass-fed & finished beef, which appeals to me.  Prices are a bit on the high side, but the portions, flavors, and better meat are worth it.

MB:  I read an NPR profile of Samara Joy and went down a rabbit hole of her music.  Her voice is mesmerizing.  I would recommend Oh Holy Night or Guess Who I Saw Today (if you’re not in the mood for Christmas music).

EB:  I’ve loved listening to The Drop that Contained the Sea by Christopher Tin.  It’s perfect study, work, concentrating, etc. music.

CB:  I have wanted to watch Inception for a while.  We were finally able to watch it the last day of winter break, and I really enjoyed it.  The idea is interesting as long as you don’t think too hard about it, but it does make you think about unintended consequences. We own the Blu-ray, so I don’t know where it’s streaming, but I’m sure you can rent it.

Bonus Recommendation:  Last month, we recommended Glass Onion:  A Knives Out Mystery, which felt a little unnecessary because so many people were talking about it.  This month is the same idea.  We’re all watching The Last of Us, and it is so good.  All of the hype is true.  Episode 3 is a beautiful testament to what makes life worth living.
